Solution 1: Update the Printer Driver

  • Go to Start and then click on the Control Panel.
  • From there, select “Hardware and Sound” and then click on “Device Manager”.There you will find a list of hardware.
  • Click on “Printer” and then right-click on your printer for an update. Select “Update Driver” from the list.
  • Select from the option, if you want to update the driver manually or automatically. It is better to choose automatically.
  • If you are unable to find any driver on Windows, navigate to the official website of the manufacturer and update the driver from there.

Solution 2: Monitor the Ink Cartridges

There are chances that you are facing such an issue because the ink cartridges are vacant. Hence, make sure to check its levels and replace it if necessary. To do so, check the estimated ink levels by following the steps provided below.

  • Insert a white A4 size paper within the printer and then press the Setup button of the Control Panel.
  • Use arrows to select Tools>Ok
  • Again, use the arrows to select the Estimated Ink levels and then press the Ok button.
  • If any of the cartridges show a low ink level, replace it by following the next solution.

Moreover, if there is an accumulation of ink within the cartridges, then there are chances that it has blocked it and now the printer is printing blank pages. In such cases, just clean the cartridges nicely with a cloth and alcohol, then check if the issue is resolved. 

Solution 3: Remove the Ink Cartridge and Install it Again

There are chances that you might be confronting this issue because of any corrupted or problematic ink cartridges. Hence, it is better to eliminate the ink cartridge that is defective and reinstall it consecutively.

  • Keep your printer on and remove the printer cover. Once the cartridge comes to its replacement position, press the old cartridge and remove it from the carriage.
  • Unpack the new ink cartridges and eliminate the tape from it. Insert the carriage inside unless it makes a click like sound.

Solution 4: Run Windows Troubleshooter

  • Press the Windows key and type troubleshooting within the search bar.

Solution 5: Restore Printer Spooler Service

There are chances that you are encountering this issue due to any corrupted system files. Thus, in such cases, you need to restore the Printer spooler service files and check if the problem resolves. You can do so by following the steps mentioned below.

  • Press the Windows key and type services within the search bar.
  • Go to Services and double click on Printer spooler. Again, click on Stop>Ok.
  • Press Windows and E keys together to launch the File Explorer and navigate to the location provided below  


  • Remove the files from the folder and then press the Windows key again. Type services within the search bar and select it consecutively.
  • Look for Printer Spooler and double click on it. Click on Start and check if the Startup type is set to Automatic. If not, then make sure to do so and click the Ok button. 
  • Print the page and see if the issue is resolved or not. 

Solution 6: Insert the Correct Paper Size

Also, the users might confront this problem if the printer paper inserted by you is not of the correct size. This can be implemented easily by just navigating the printer settings or print preview. Once there, check if the correct paper size is selected or not. If it is not, make sure to customize it accordingly and check if the issue is resolved.

Solution 7: Uninstall and Reinstall the Printer

  • Unplug any connections between the printer and the PC.
  • Go to Start and click on “Device and Printers”/
